Dear friends, family, colleagues and fellow Ladies of Harley
By now, many of you know that I will be joining a group of International Cyclists to cycle the Diamond Coast leg of the Tour du Afrique. This last leg will stretch from Windhoek to Cape Town covering a distance of 1650 km. I will start this odyssey Monday the 28th April and will finish in Cape Town on Satueday the 10th May.
In conjunction with ATIO, MNet, Shosholoza Marketing and Reebok, we are hoping to reach 500 000 people with our Cycling for Breast Cancer awareness initiative. According to the latest statistics, 1 in 26 women is likely to develop breast cancer, which means one of you on my mailing list is likely to develop breast cancer ..... SCARY but true.
Please support me in this endeavour and pass on to as many people as you can. ALL funds raised will be used to build mobile cancer testing and screening units for both breast and cervical cancer. These units will be deployed into disadvantaged communities where there is a desperate need for assistance of this nature. I shall provide full feedback on this project.
