Hi all,
After a successful 2010 fund raising run, i am doing it again! MANY thanks to all who donated so kindly last year!
Having seen the facility build at the school ‘Kwathintha School for the Deaf’ which was used for building a multipurpose court to assist with 5 types of sporting codes, and will also be used by the surrounding community i decided to dedicate the 2011 comrades run to The Sports TRust cause of raising funds again for another worthy cause.
The Sports Trust is one of the 5 official charities of the Comrades Marathon Association and all funds raised will go towards a sporting need along the comrades route. This years funds will be used towards the disadvantaged running club called God’s Golden Acre Athletics club,based in Catoridge. They have 35 runners participating in Comrades and alot of youths from the area will run in the youth day race the day before comrades!
Nedbank is donating an amount of R55000 to my run. Additionally I would like to raise another R10000 to the cause.
All support is appreciated to assist in enhancing a better life for those in need!
