The Rotary Club of Morningside is a dynamic club based in Gauteng, South Africa, committed to raising awareness of important humanitarian issues through events such as its annual Spring Charity Walk, and now, via the gruelling ABSA Cape Epic - a 722 kilometre, eight-day mountain bike race through the fairest cape of all, the Western Cape of South Africa. Five teams have committed to raising funds for the club, to put towards the Rotary International (www.rotary.org) PolioPlus initiative of eradicating polio worldwide, as well as the club's specific projects. Examples of past projects include SANCA drugs and alcohol Rehabilitation Centre and Family Support Project, Diepsloot Counselling Centre, Zikhuliseni Skills Training Centre at Bophelong Place of Life, Embezweni Child Care Centre, Sefikeng Primary School Upliftment Project, Careers days at Sekolo sa Borokgo School, Randburg plus many others.
