Mom Lineo – the 20 homes for a year for 100 Children Project

 Mom Lineo is one of the Childline angels looking after the orphans and vulnerable children at the Childline Safe Houses. Since inception over 3000 children have found love and shelter at the Safe Houses – set up to catch the children that fall through the government net. In the Safe Houses they are raised by real mothers with children of their own, and given love, care, and a solid foundation out of which they one day step out into the world as well-grounded young adults.

Safe Houses cost R35 000 a year to maintain, and support 5 orphaned or vulnerable children – so let us help Ma Lineo and Childline to Keep them going, and growing! ANYTHING you can contribute will be welcome!

Childline and Ma Lineo have set up over a hundred of these Safe Houses already, and sourced, screened and trained the mothers – and continue to support them daily. She shudders to think what would happen to “her children” if there were no safe houses.  With your support these children are not left on the streets, overnight in police stations, or far worse...

Our aim is to provide a series of sustainable fund-raising initiatives, starting with this one. We are asking for your help to support 20 homes for a year – in other words care and love for 100 children!

Even the 1000 mile journey begins with a single step. We have taken those first steps already, but invite you to join us on our journey.
