Walking For Warmbaths

Irene Homes steeped in many great traditions, has lots of highlights happening throughout the year. Once again the residents and day workers will be walking 5 km in the Spar Ladies Challenge on 30 August, 2008. The Homes continues to provide protective care (residential and protective therapy day care) to mentally disabled adults.

This year the Spar Challenge Walk will be a little different not only will be walking for fun but we will be challenging all our supporters to help us raise funds for our Annual Warmbaths Day Outing. 150 people - residents, day workers, staff and volunteers from Irene Homes will climb on buses and ascend upon Aventura Warmbaths for the day. It is a FUN day - playing in the hot water pools, racing down the slides and having lots of food and cool drink. Although Aventura and the bus companies give us lots of discount the day still costs R 12000.00.
