The Jamie-Leigh Eagle Tour
Hayley and I were privileged to have Jamie-Leigh as our earthly daughter for 9 years . God decided that her time had lapsed and decided to to take his angel home on the 28th April 2010 . We dearly miss , long and pine for her but we do realise that her stay was to try and educate and also awaken values that us mere mortals do not recognise anymore and that is love , care and compassion , which she personified with great aplomb .
As a result we have decided to continue her legacy in the form of contributing to worthy causes and such a cause is "Big Shoes" . They are an organization that specialises in palliative care for kids and they helped , under the extremely compassionate and pragmatic Dr Trish , to make Jamie-Leigh`s last days with us as comfortable as possible . A group of my friends and I have succesfully completed riding our bicycles from Joburg to Kimberley , on the 19 February 2011 and continue to raise funds for this organization and will appreciate any contributions to try and reach our target .
