Personal message

For my birthday this year, I am asking my dear friends and family to help me raise R100,000 for Ubuntu Education Fund (www.ubuntufund.org).  Ubuntu is an incredibly inspiring organisation that provides over 40,000 orphaned and vulnerable children and their families in the townships of Port Elizabeth, South Africa with life saving HIV support services and essential educational resources.

If we reach this goal of R100,000, together we will support Ubuntu’s efforts in placing another 50 vulnerable children into university on full scholarships this January.

“It takes so much more than a cup of soup or a wind-up computer to change a child’s life.  The key is to invest in a child, their family and their community for the long-term. This means utilising significant financial and human resources. It’s not an easy solution, but Ubuntu has shown that it’s working.”
