Personal message
This year I will be climbing Kilimanjaro, which takes place from 5 October – 15 October 2008. I will be supporting a worthy cause in the form of the Kililane Sport Development Trust, the well-known South African organization that provides help to improve the lives and performance of less fortunate sportsmen and -woman as well as the disabled in the Eden District, South Africa.
The Kililane Kilimanjaro Trek, as many of you already know, is a 5 895 meter climb over a six day period in Tanzania, the worlds’ highest loose standing mountain.
This year is the first time we are able to fund-raise in an easy and secure way on the www.easigiving.co.za (alternatively named www.backabuddy.co.za ) website. Have a look for yourself, and at the same time I would appreciate it if you could reach for the credit card and help me to support this great organization. In particular, I would like to challenge individuals and businesses to also select the Kililane Sport Development Trust, and to sponsor me. To all my sport-loving Buddies out there, let’s see if we can squeeze a smile out of our Hearty Herb above by reaching our target of R1 000 000.00. So, equally as important as your donation, please communicate details of my fund-raising page without delay and before you forget to everyone you think may be interested - whether verbally, by email, or facebook, whether in SA or anywhere else in the world. It is all for a great cause. If you are a visitor to my fund-raising page, and would like to spread the message, you can click on Promote this page. You will find the link above our (currently not-so-happy) Hearty Herb on this page.
As a matter of interest, if you wish to make a contribution from your business, your contribution here will earn you points on your BEE scorecard – that is if you are interested!?
Herb’s barometer on this page shows the progress we are making against our target of R 3 000 000.00, and
any (clean) comments you wish to make are also posted here alongside your contribution.
A huge THANK YOU to those of you that have helped thus far, and I will report back after the event, here on this page and on our website: www.kililane.co.za.
We will depart on 5 October 2008 and return on 15 October 2008. You are welcome to come and meet us at the Airport. Flight details will be posted here as soon as it is available. Thank you for your support.
Lana
