We will be participating in the London Marathon again this year. Our first marathon was in 2010 and we decided to face the challenge again for a good cause.
Please help and support our selected charity who will benefit from all of our hours of training!
Thank you in advance to all donors for your generosity.
Our selected charity is the Alta du Toit Aftercare centre in South Africa. The centre looks after adults with intellectual disabilities. The centre has been in existence for 33 years and is a safe haven where these adults can live and work. There is an established skills development programme in place to ensure that each individual can reach his full potential in life. The centre also provides physical and medical care.
- Vision: to be a leader in the field of service delivery to adults with intellectual disability.
- Work area: West Coast, Boland and Cape Metropolitan
- Summary: 155 residents, 60 day care clients, providing physical and medical care, therapeutic development groups, work training and development as well as sport and social activities
