Thank you for visiting my fund raising page. Drag Racing isn’t just about fast cars screaming down the quarter mile at Tarlton International Raceway. It’s also about putting that speed into raising funds for a very worthy cause. This legally registered trust supports children with severe kidney diseases who attend the Morningside Children's Kidney Treatment Centre. This centre is unique. It is the only private centre in Africa that treats the full range of kidney diseases in children, including acute and chronic dialysis and transplantation. It is based at the Morningside Medi-Clinic in Sandton, South Africa. The trust's primary aim is to raise funds and provide services to support non-medical needs that children and their families so desperately require when faced with a child with severe kidney disease. These needs include educational toys, volunteer services to help educate and stimulate long-term dialysis and hospitalised children, social work, counselling and occupational therapy, transport grants and accommodation for children in long-term dialysis programmes and for families who are from far and distant places.
