Pauli for Kgosi

On 27th July 2008, I shall be walking 30kms in the Discovery 702 Walk the Talk. My reason for participating in this challenge is to raise much needed funds for Kgosi Neighbourhood Foundation.
KNF is a non-profit charity, founded in 2004, that runs The Wings of Hope School in Jeppestown, for underprivileged and vulnerable pre-school children of the neighbourhood. The criteria for being selected into the school is that the family income is less than R1 000 per month.
It is because of my admiration for Sister Natalie Kuhn, who founded the organisation, that I decided to support KNF. Sister tirelessly strives for perfection and a better life for these little children, and also assists them in entering primary school once they complete their two years at The Wings of Hope School. I am a director of this charity.
My target for this worthy cause is R20 000. So to all my family and friends out there, I would be most grateful for any contributions, however big or small. I would love to see a big smile on Herby's face at the top of this page, proudly showing his full red barometer !

Kgosi Neighbourhood Foundation |
Kgosi Neighbourhood Foundation rescues vulnerable neighbourhood children from the streets and channels them into an early educational programme, ultimately enabling them to gain access to the numerous free local primary schools, and giving them the head start which prevents the cycle of failure of vulnerable children. Care of these children is holistic and includes their nourishment and counselling where necessary. |
