Stephen Lyon, Regional Director and Head of Office of MMoser Associates, Singapore is going to be cycling 320 kilometres through the African bush to raise funds for Children in the Wilderness.  He will be in the food chain. 

Children in the Wilderness hosts teaching camps for rural children that live alongside the game reserves in Southern Africa in order to educate them about the importance of conservation.  The Children in the Wilderness programme aims to develop environmental leaders who are inspired to care for their natural heritage so that they become the custodians of these areas in the future.

Children in the Wilderness is a non-profit organisation which began with on-safari discussions between actor Paul Newman (sadly now deceased) and Wilderness Safaris in August 2001. Newman's organization ‘The Association of Hole in the Wall Camps’ and Wilderness Safaris combined forces to create a new rural African children’s environmental and life skills programme. In December 2001, Children in the Wilderness ran the first camp in Botswana.  As of the end of 2010, Children in the Wilderness had hosted over 3500 children in seven Southern African countries, totalling 20,096 children-in-camp days.
