We are pupils from St. Stithians College and are training to ride the 94.7 Cycle Challenge in Johannesburg on 16 November 2008 - many of us for the first time! It is known as "Joburg's Safest Race" and will be the 12th race.
We, the riders, would like to support a worthy cause as we pedal our way around Johannesburg on that day and so have found an easy and secure way to fundraise for the charities that we have selected on behalf of the Interact Club of 2008/2009.
This is a student-run school body that does community service and raises funds for selected charities. The club is the junior branch of Rotary International. This year (2008/2009) we have selected to raise funds for a project to pump water to an underpriveleged community, Aurora Primary School (an underpriveleged school in Bapsfontein) and to raise funds in order to build a house with Habitat for Humanity.
We would appreciate it if you could reach for your credit cards and generously help us support these projects as we work our way towards our target.
