Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.
On the 15th June 2008 I will be running my first Comrades Marathon, the worlds most prestigious ultra marathon, encompassing around 90km of road running, as part of a drive to raise funds for the Starfish Foundation, a South African charity that supports children who have been orphaned or made vulnerable by HIV/AIDS. All donations will go directly to Starfish, in an effort to continue bringing hope and opportunity to these children.
I am fortunate not only to participate in this event, but to support this very worthwhile charity. With our help, these children can grow up, achieve their dreams, and become contributing members to their society - our world - despite the hardships of their childhood.
Your kindness in contributing to their wellbeing and future is very much appreciated, every cent counts!!!

Starfish Greathearts Foundation is an international development charity, aiming to bring life, hope and opportunity to orphaned and vulnerable children in South Africa. Motivated by our founding parable, Starfish believes that each of us can make a difference to the lives of South African children orphaned or left vulnerable by HIV/AIDS. Starfish is making a significant impact in many communities across South Africa, working through non-governmental and community-based organizations. These organizations provide various services to the children: home visits, counseling, access to education and social grants, amongst others.
