Ok - so those that know me know that I have been cycling for ages. I never gave Lance any sleepless nights it is true but I do love to ride!
This year, rather than just cycling the 94.7, I decided to help children suffering from childhood cancer. For those that have kids, can you imagine the awful scenario that one of your little ones is afflicated? It is too terrible to even contemplate. So why not help those whose innocence has been stolen by a disease that cuts them down before they have even lived their lives. Cancer can be treated.
CHOC is targeting raising more than R4 million to upgrade the pediatric oncology wards at Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital. The pediatric oncology wards at Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital provide hundreds of children from across South Africa with treatment for cancer.
