Running for Udobo

Personal message

2009 will be my 14^th Comrades Race.  In the past thirteen years I have earned 3 silver medals, 2 Bill Rowen medals and 8 bronze medals.  My best time was 7hrs and 14 mins (434^th place). 

I would like to raise R1000 per kilometer of the Comrades Marathon for the Udobo Grade R School which will total to R90 000.  This will be my way of giving back to our marginalized community from that with which I have been blessed - my health and my love for running. 

My wife has been a member of the administrative staff for 4 years now (as a volunteer for the first 16 months).  We have watched this amazing school grow from its infant stages of 1 class of 25 children to where it is now - a fully equipped school that caters for 100 children with a staff of 17 members.  This school has touched our family in many ways and I would really appreciate your financial support, by sponsoring my endeavour to raise this money in appreciation for what this school does for the children of our local community of low-income and marginalised families.
