PACE

Know your heart rhythm! Dangerous heart rhythms causing sudden death CAN be prevented by quick CPR/AED(defibrillation) treatment! PACE aims to Prevent Arrhythmic Cardiac Events, leading to cardiac arrest, by providing education and raising awareness. Even young sportspeople can suffer from an undetected heart condition causing lethal arrhythmias (abnormal heart rhythms) leading to sudden and unexpected death unless recognised timeously.

Internal or external defillibration is highly effective in dealing with these events and support and education should be readily available to those affected.

Prof A Okreglicki (Cardiologist and Electrophysiologist) has established a PACE PATIENT SUPPORT FUND to support families and patients affected by ARRHYTHMIA. The fund will alleviate the huge emotional and financial challenges faced by sufferers and their families.
