The Africaid Trust
The core programmes of WhizzKids United are On the Ball (a school-based Life Skills programme), Team Talk (a school-based Peer Education programme), Mixed Gender Leagues (school-based, mixed-gender soccer leagues used to promote gender equality), and the WhizzKids United Health Academy, an adolescent friendly health clinic and recreation centre run in partnership with the Department of Health. We also run capacity building workshops for government clinics.
WhizzKids United has reached more than 20,000 beneficiaries. As of 2011 we are working in three provinces (KwaZulu-Natal, North West and Western Cape) with plans to add a new project in Eastern Cape in 2012.
