100Wave Challenge 2026

The 100Wave Challenge is an exciting surf-a-thon hosted by 9Miles Project, inspired by the internationally successful fundraising model pioneered by Joe Sigurdson, co-founder of Boys to Men Mentoring (B2M). Surfers commit to catching 100 waves in a single day not just for the thrill of it, but to raise vital funds that empower marginalised youth in coastal communities through surf therapy, mentorship, and life skills development.

After the success of Africa’s first-ever 100Wave Challenge held on 3 May 2025, which brought together over 250 surfers, sponsors, volunteers, and community members and raised more than R176 000, we’re doing it again - bigger, bolder, and with even more heart.
