My name is Vicki Fox, and this September I'll be taking on one of the toughest challenges I've ever attempted—the Wild Coast Recce Run.

This challenge is especially meaningful because it marks the year I turn 40. Rather than celebrating with a party or gifts, I've chosen to celebrate this milestone by doing something that pushes me beyond my comfort zone while giving back to a community that means so much to me.

Over 7 consecutive days I'll run approximately 310 kilometres from Kei Mouth to Port Edward, tackling rugged trails, river crossings, beaches, cliffs and everything the Wild Coast can throw at me.

But this run is about far more than reaching the finish line.
