About This Campaign
Terence Parkin is digging deep - literally and figuratively - for South Africa’s Youth!
Olympic Swimmer and water safety hero, Terence Parkin, is building a 50-metre pool (by hand) at Proudfoot Farm in Mooi River, KZN - not for glory, but for kids in rural communities who’ve never had the chance to learn to swim.
This is not just a pool - it is a life-saving space, a training ground, a beacon of hope.
In a country where drowning is one of the leading causes of death in children under 14, Terence’s mission is clear: every child deserves the chance to swim safely.
As an ambassador for the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation, Terence is taking water safety where it’s needed most.
Really behind him. Share his story. Donate. Be part of the ripple effect.
Words: Rudi Keyser
400,000 reasons to learn to swim refers to the number of litres of water the completed pool will have.
Terence started this project on his own not asking for help but upon seeing his extreme dedication, this page was set up by family and friends in order...
