A Chance for my mom Cindly Mulder

My name is Shannon, and I’m raising funds for my sweet but fragile mom, Cindy Mulder. She turns 57 this year. She’s a wife, a wonderful mother, and a loving grandmother to three beautiful grandchildren.

This past year has been the most heartbreaking time of our lives. We’ve watched my mom's health deteriorate due to stage 4 colon cancer worsened by delayed diagnosis, poor hospital care, and a lack of proper medical support.

In July 2024, my mom began vomiting and suffering from severe abdominal cramps. Within weeks, she was too weak to lift her head. We took her to Edenvale Hospital in Johannesburg at 6 a.m., but she was only admitted around 10 p.m. After tests and scans, gallstones were discovered, and gallbladder removal surgery was done. She was still in pain and not recovering. Two months later, the symptoms returned—worse than before. She couldn’t eat or keep food down and grew extremely weak. In late November, she was admitted again after more tests.
