A Mother’s Cry: Save My 14-Year-Old Angel’s Spine

As a parent, nothing breaks you more than watching your child break. My beautiful 14-year-old daughter, Angel, is losing her childhood to a spine that is aggressively twisting and bending inside her. Every single day, I watch her endure agonizing pain. Because of a sudden growth spurt, her severe scoliosis is worsening rapidly. Her body is changing, and time is running out. She has a heart built for performance. 

If you knew Angel, you'd know that she wears her heart on her sleeve. She is the most loving, friendly soul, who brings joy to everyone around her. She pours her entire passion into her community, marching proudly as a drum majorette for Potchefstroom High School for Girls and lifting her beautiful voice in the North West Children's Choir.
