Who I am and what I have done

My name is Lungile Gamede and I am a young South African Midwife and Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn and Child health advocate. It is with great excitement to announce that I have been extended an invitation to the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (CSW69) in New York City, US from the 10th to the 21st of March this year to represent South Africa on this global platform and forge global relationships with leaders for the advancement of the local work that I do to advance the health of  women, girls and youth in the country. 

My passion for Maternal, Neonatal, Child, Adolescent and Youth health and being an advocate thereof, alongside my capacity as a midwife has landing me to serve in various Non-Profit Organisations that are aligned with this,such as the Perinatal Mental Health Project locally and Days for Girls, Women in the Marketplace and Trinity Girls Network Corporation internationally.  Partnering with these international organisations has helped advance the cause of ending period p...
