Why We’re Raising Funds

The fishermen of Arniston are currently facing a serious challenge.

Their tractor which is essential for launching and retrieving their boats is no longer reliable. Without it, they are struggling to get their boats into the water.

Right now, many of the fishermen are being forced to push their boats by hand boats that weigh well over a ton. This is not only exhausting, but dangerous, especially in rough conditions.

Fishing is their livelihood. It puts food on their tables and supports their families. Without a working tractor, getting to sea becomes harder every day and for some, almost impossible.

We want to help change that.

Our goal is to raise funds for a new tractor so the fishermen of Arniston can safely launch their boats, continue working, and protect a way of life that has supported this community for generations.
