Amazink Unplugged First Saturdays

Amazink Unplugged is a community-based arts and culture platform in Kayamandi, Stellenbosch, that uses artistic expression to address social challenges and drive community development. Through monthly live events, we showcase local musicians, poets, and performers while providing skills development, performance opportunities, and educational sessions on critical issues such as GBV, mental health, and youth empowerment. Our events employ 7+ people monthly and consistently engage 80-100 community members, with plans to scale to 150+ attendees and create 50+ employment opportunities by year 5.

Because of lack of funding, we constantly have to charge entrance fees to our events, which ultimately excludes some of the people we are hoping to reach. We hope to make this space as inclusive and as reachable as possible where each and every one who wishes to be in attendance.
