The residents of Riebeek Kasteel all have our images of the beloved tramp, Amos, sitting on the wall at Short Street or shuffling up and down the roads of the village.
Many of us tried to help him with gifts of clothes, food or crutches but somehow, material possesions never remained with him. Towards the end, he was struggling more than any human should, and having somehow received brain injuries he spent the end of his life looked after by the good staff at Malmesbury Hospital. Huge thank you to Anita Van Schalkwyk for keep us all in the loop!
Amos is now free from material suffering and some of us in the community wish to give him more than a paupers funeral and contribute towards his funeral costs, hence the creation of this funding page.
Any contribution will be greatly appreciated.
