Andrea's Gift Foundation

Andrea's gift is a registred NPO, providing emotional support for Lupus Warriors.Lupus is an autoimmune disease affecting mainly women of child-bearing age as well as children.We are currently across 6 cities/towns offering support with the vision of being able to support every Lupus Warrior in South africa. Our bags are the door to our home-the entry point of connecting with the patients. Lupus like any chronic, incurable illness is as much a mental struggle as a physical.Some patients can be months in the hospital. Doctors have reported after calling our team to visit some long-term patients - their vitals have improved,after being heard and cared for.We support patients from all walks of life.Through hospital visits, support groups and practical supporting certain situations.One example of this was washing patients hair and feeding them as the overcrowded public hospitals do not have the time and resources to provide such care sadly. Currently we have a few request to support children!Sadly, at this stage we just don't have the funds but a project that too is close to our heart...
