Support My Journey to Becoming a Veterinarian
Dear Friend,
In 2024, I took a leap of faith and began pursuing my lifelong dream of becoming a veterinarian at the University of Namibia (UNAM). Today, I am incredibly grateful to say that I am halfway through my Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine degree.
My name is Ané. I am originally from Bloemfontein, South Africa, and currently live in Windhoek, Namibia, where I am studying full-time. Before starting veterinary medicine, I completed a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture, specialising in Animal Science. That degree deepened my passion for livestock production, animal health, and animal welfare, and confirmed that my calling is to become a mixed veterinarian, with a particular interest in working with livestock.
I have been incredibly fortunate to receive the support of generous private sponsors who believe in my dream and have made it possible for me to study by covering my tuition fees. Without their kindness, I would never have made it this far, and I remain deeply grateful for the opportunities they give me....
