I bring the story of Annemarie Mattheysen.
She is a 39-year-old woman that is profoundly deaf.
Despite her financial restraints she ran many fundraisers to chase her dream to become Mrs Deaf South-Africa.
This she did all of this while taking care of her seven children with mealy a cleaning lady’s income.
She was then crowned as Mrs Deaf South Africa for 2022. Contrary to believe there is no financial gain for a winner of such a prestigious competition.
Just for giggles – she was so desperate for hearing that she borrowed a old man in the church hearing aids so that she could hear for Christmas…. Funny though the fact that this poor man needed them himself for the festive season. I added this with a tongue in cheek just to show how desperate she...
