Firstly, I would like to thank every single person who has prayed for me, supported my family, shared my story, and donated towards my recovery. Your kindness has carried us through one of the most difficult seasons of our lives.

On 23 May 2026, my life changed forever after being involved in a tragic motor vehicle accident alongside Frikkie Nel, Peter Kurtland, and Ethan Smit. We were all involved in the same accident, and I want to ensure that no one is left out whenever the incident is mentioned, so there is no misunderstanding that these were separate accidents.

Since the accident, my recovery has been far more challenging than we expected. After I was discharged from the hospital following my first surgery, I developed a serious infection in my knee, which required me to be readmitted for a second operation.

I am incredibly grateful to share that the second surgery was successful. After spending another week in intensive care, I was finally discharged and am now recovering safely at home.
