About This Campaign

My name is Lynn (Lynnette) Blignaut, and I am reaching out from Thailand, where my beloved daughter, Ashley Oosthuizen (26), has been wrongfully imprisoned since 2020 for a crime she did not commit.
For 5 years, Ashley has been imprisoned. In 2022, I moved to Thailand to be near her and advocate for her freedom. Due to visa restrictions, I am unable to work at present, and as my savings quickly run out, we will soon need to rely entirely on donations to cover Ashley’s prison expenses and my living costs.
Background:
Ashley, a bright, caring, and adventurous young woman, moved to Thailand in 2018 to teach English after graduating from High School. She quickly adapted to the culture, made friends, and loved her new life, and was loved by each person who met her. However, in October 2020, her world changed dramatically when she was wrongfully arrested at her workplace. Ashley had unknowingly signed for a package containing drugs, addressed to someone else, but was still held responsible despite her protests.
