Help Baby Arlú See the World – A Journey of Hope and Healing
Dear Friends, Family, and Supporters,

Our precious baby boy, Arlú, came into this world on July 23rd, 2024, and from the moment we met him, we knew he was special. Arlú’s journey has been one filled with love, challenges, and a faith that grows stronger each day.

At 37 weeks pregnant, we learned during a routine scan that Arlú had an enlarged ventricle in his brain. Confused and frightened, we awaited the final scan at 38 weeks, clinging to hope when the doctor reassured us that it hadn’t grown. When he was born, however, our joy was met with uncertainty as doctors noticed additional concerns, leading to an MRI that revealed bleeding on his brain and an eventual diagnosis of hydrocephalus.

At just 1 week and two days old, our brave little boy underwent surgery to place a shunt in his brain to manage the swelling. He now carries a scar that is not just a mark of the challenges he’s faced but a testament to his strength and the incredible story he’s telling through his life.
