Back Irma’s World Champs Dream 🇿🇦

Hi, I’m Irma Human.

If you know me, you’ll know that sitting still has never really been my thing. Whether I’m on my bike, training in the studio, chasing a finish line or finding the next challenge to throw myself into, movement has always been a massive part of who I am.

This time, though, the finish line is a little further away… Western Australia.

I’m incredibly honoured to have qualified to represent South Africa at the 2026 UCI Gravel World Championships in Nannup this October.

The crazy part? You can’t just enter the World Championships. You have to earn your spot by racing in a UCI Gravel World Series qualifier and finishing high enough to qualify. After countless early mornings, long training rides, sore legs, and probably more carbs than any human should consume, I managed to do exactly that.

So… I did the hard part.

Now comes the expensive part.
