🇿🇦 Meet Jean‑Pierre Nel
Jean‑Pierre (JP) Nel is a dedicated South African para‑swimmer with an unwavering passion for competitive swimming. As a proud member of J’s Aqua Swim Club, JP has trained tirelessly to represent South Africa on the world stage.
He has now been officially nominated by the South African Sports Confederation and Olympic Committee (SASCOC) to compete in the 2026 Para Swimming World Series in Australia, taking place from 20–22 February 2026 at the Gold Coast Aquatic Centre.
This prestigious international event is a critical stepping stone for athletes in the para‑swimming community—offering classification opportunities, elite‑level competition, and visibility in the global sporting arena.
