Help Beacon School LSEN Learners Reach the WRO National Competition!

Beacon School for Learners with Special Educational Needs (LSEN), situated in Mitchell’s Plain, is incredibly proud of our young Coding and Robotics teams.

Our school supports learners with severe intellectual disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and other learning barriers and disabilities. Robotics gives our learners the opportunity to be active and included members of society. It promotes true inclusion by allowing them to compete alongside mainstream schools and be recognised as equal competitors. Despite the challenges of disability and disadvantaged socio-economic backgrounds, our learners are given the opportunity to showcase their abilities, talents and potential on the same platform as other schools

This past weekend, our learners competed in the World Robot Olympiad (WRO) Competition against other schools and achieved 1st and 2nd place in the senior category.
