Club21: Ons is lief vir lees
By Club21, ’n skool vir kinders met downsindroom, glo ons elke kind verdien die kans om hul eie storie te ontdek.
Ons droom is Boekebos – ’n warm, veilige leessentrum waar klein handjies oor bladsye kan gly, waar oë kan ophelder oor nuwe ontdekkings, en waar elke kind kan voel: “Hier hoort ek. Ek kan leer. Ek kan groei.”
“Geen kind kan vorentoe beweeg as hulle nie die nodige woordeskat het nie, en hulle kennis kan ook nie uitgebrei word as daar nie begrip van hulle leefwêreld is nie. Boeke gaan dit vir ons kinders ontsluit.” Amanda Fourie, Skoolhoof van Club21
Ons het nog net R50 000 teen 15 Maart nodig om Boekebos klaar te maak.
