Urgent Care Needed After Dog Attack

URGENT MEDICAL HELP NEEDED

On 31 July, Braam was the victim of a sudden and unprovoked dog attack that left him with severe injuries to both hands. He does not have a medical aid and initially he was treated at a government hospital, where his wounds were cleaned and stitched — but unfortunately, a serious infection has developed and is not clearing. He now urgently needs specialist care and hospitalisation.

Braam is self-employed and relies entirely on the use of his hands to run his business. This injury has taken away his ability to work and earn a living, compounding an already painful and traumatic experience.
