Brandon: 'This time I'm participating for my mom'
Brandon Kidson has been selected for a second time to participate in a national competition, and with the loss of his mother, Irma, last year, he is determined to do well this year.
Although it has been an emotionally difficult year for Brandon Kidson, he has been selected for the second time for the u/23 South African Blackball Championships, and he is very relieved about it.
"During last year's championships, I finished 30th out of 64 players, and it is a privilege for me to be chosen again. I learn from my mistakes and intend to focus more on the matches this time and get my strategies right."
This year's competition is a bittersweet occasion for Brandon since his mother, Irma, could still support him last year. However, she passed away in October in a car accident, and he has decided that this year his focus is on his mother.
