Stepping up for Brandon

Dear helping angel,

I was born blind and because I was fortunate enough to grow up with a fantastic support system, who helped me navigate life as a disabled person, I am now an attorney and I want to help those in my community who need someone in their corner.

I am writing this letter to you to ask for assistance for Brandon Potgieter, a 26-year-old man who lives in my community. Following a hit-and-run accident in July 2020, when a vehicle drove in to him from behind and left him there for dead, Brandon suffered two broken legs and became a wheelchair user. The recovery process has been long and due to the fact that he cannot walk, he lost his job and his source of income.

I met Brandon on the streets of Pretoria-North, where he spends his days looking for work, and money to sustain himself.
