Brendan is struggling to breathe! (Post cancer treatment complications)

*HEALTH UPDATE*

It has been well over a year since I last posted a proper update. This will hopefully be my final update, unless something changes drastically.

Since last year, I have moved to Cape Town, and was referred to the Groote Schuur Respiratory Clinic and Oncology. I've been for two cancer checkups, a CT scan, and multiple lung function and lung disease screening tests. Although the specialists could not confirm whether my lung injury was caused by the chemotherapy, an infection, or a combination of both, here is where things currently stand:

My lungs are quite badly scarred, but my body has been able to adapt. Although I have a bad chronic cough that affects me daily, my oxygen levels are adequate and my lung function is right on the cusp of the acceptable range. The altitude shift when I moved to the coast made an immediate difference to my energy levels, and I was able to gradually taper off of supplemental oxygen.
