Brewing Hope for Ntsika

In October 2025, Mossel Bay lost one of its brightest lights.  Sam — a beloved barista, friend, coach, and father — was tragically struck by a vehicle on the N2 and killed instantly. 

Sam was only 28. He had moved to Mossel Bay at 18 to study and found a place in the community. He spent years brewing cappuccinos for locals, becoming a familiar face to his regulars, a reliable colleague, and a source of laughter and kindness in daily life. 

He is remembered for his kindness, humour, and integrity — a man who kept his word and lifted the spirits of everyone he met.

Sam leaves behind his partner, Anna, and their four-month-old son, Ntsika. The community has been deeply shaken by his loss, with tributes pouring in from near and far. 

Now, we come together to support little Ntsika's future, and to honour Sam’s memory and the love he poured into his life and community.
