Bring The Wild Wonders Back to Life

Hi everyone, my name is Liaan Lategan. I am a teacher at Prestige College, a photography club mentor, wildlife enthusiast, and the creator of the YouTube channel The Wild Wonders of Southern Africa.

For the past 12 years, my Canon 7D Mark II and Canon 100–400mm lens have helped me capture unforgettable moments in nature, document school events, teach photography to learners, and share South Africa’s incredible wildlife with people from around the world.

Unfortunately, after an accident earlier this year, both my camera body and lens were badly damaged beyond practical repair. Losing this equipment has honestly been devastating, not only emotionally, but also because photography has become such a massive part of my life, my teaching, and my creative outlet.

Without a working camera, I have not been able to create content regularly for my YouTube channel, and my channel growth and engagement have already started declining.
