Hey South Africa – Asambe! (Let's Go!)
I'm Dylan Dlamini, a 23-year-old entrepreneur from Johannesburg, founder of RiseAfrika Technologies (Pty) Ltd – proudly registered in 2025. Like many young South Africans, I've felt the weight of our 31.9% unemployment rate and seen how hard it is for local SMMEs to thrive. But I also see the massive opportunity in our tourism sector – now surging past pre-pandemic levels with over 7.6 million visitors in 2025, on track for 10 million in 2026.
Yet, too much of that potential leaks away. Foreign apps take high commissions, local guides and small businesses stay invisible online, and travelers miss our authentic hidden gems. That's why I'm building Asambe – a smart, African-owned ecosystem (mobile app + interactive kiosks) to revolutionise tourism and public transport.
