Building More Than Just Walls

An old building was abandoned by a big NGO in 2014 as their project had come to an end. However, since then, there has been a sharp increase in the number of Children dropping out of school in the Kuchata Community due to the high rate of poverty, malnutrition, and lack of nearby schools. Now 7 out of 10 children either don't attend school or drop out. Therefore when Thanzi265 came into the community the Community leadership offered us the building to help us implement our project.  We started cleaning up the old school, so we could revive the school for the community. We are also doing village cleanup drives with the children, focusing on collecting discarded plastic bottles. This helps in creating a cleaner environment around the community and also serves a dual purpose. The plastic bottles will repurposed for a drip irrigation system, providing a sustainable water source for the newly planted tree seeds that will be planted around the new school.
