Building Pro Patria Museum

Dear fellow Veteran,

You and I were NSM like thousands of others. Although my service was long ago I remain proud of our Defence Force and ALL those that served at some point. I also feel strongly about ensuring the story of this era is not lost to time and for future generations. 

Our role contributed to the ‘fall’ of a dangerous, global, communist ideology, (specifically in Southern Africa) that threatened the world. We also helped ensure a peaceful transition into a democratic SA. Like veterans, of any other conflicts across the globe, our story also deserves to be recorded. We were soldiers, not politicians.

Other than word of mouth, 200 Facebook groups and a variety of books, knowledge and records of this era are not assured for future generations. In 30 years, when most of us are no more, who will tell our stories, read our books or flip through dormant FB groups? The entire history will fade into obscurity.
