My name is Rachel McDonald. I am 59 years old, and I have been living with cancer for the past 14 years. Over this time, I have undergone 12 major operations in an ongoing fight for my life.
I am raising R280 000 to cover the cost of cancer radiation therapy (radiotherapy). Once the radiotherapy is completed, I will also need chemotherapy as part of my continued treatment which the medical aid (Gems) are refusing to cover.
These funds will go directly toward my medical care and give me the chance to keep fighting this illness. Any support, whether through donations or sharing my story, will make a meaningful difference in my journey.
