Hi everyone! My name is Carmilla, and I’m from South Africa.

Right now, I’m still exploring what I want to do for my future career, and I’m eager to gain as much hands-on experience as possible. One opportunity that truly excites me is the chance to work on a yacht for a year. I’ve always had a deep love for the ocean, and it’s been a lifelong dream of mine to travel and see the world.

I can almost picture it: the sound of waves gently crashing against the hull, the warmth of the sun on my skin, and the salty breeze running through my hair. It would be a dream come true.

That’s why a 3.5-week deckhand course in Cape Town really caught my attention—it’s the first step toward turning that dream into reality. Unfortunately, the course is quite expensive, and right now, my family isn’t in a position to support the cost.

Still, I’m determined. This opportunity means everything to me, and I would be incredibly grateful for any support or guidance that can help me take this next step.
