The Tag World Cup Dream Arrives

My name is Chadwin Smith, also known as Chaddy, from Cape Town, Western Cape. I have been selected to represent the South African Mixed open team in the upcoming ITF World Cup in Ireland, Limerick 2023. Although, I have had challenges in the past, such as meningococcal meningitis and the loss of my grandfather, I am always ready to go out there and give my best. 

 

I would like to thank you for taking the time to read this article, it's small but has a big meaning to it. It was always my dream to play in a Rugby World Cup and here the dream became a reality but in order for me to fully conquer it, I will need the help to get me there as Tag Rugby is a non-profit organization. 

 

To my teammates, I am quiet, reliable and a conscientious person with an infectious laugh. I had be given the opportunity to to lead the team as vice captain in the previous series which was the stepping stone and hoping to keep that motivation and fighting spirit.
