Thank you to everyone who continues to pray, donate, share, and support Christiaan and his family during this incredibly difficult time.
Christiaan has now been transferred to an academic hospital, where specialists are continuing to provide him with the best possible care.
Doctors have confirmed that Christiaan is suffering from HLH, a rare and serious autoimmune disease. Further investigations have shown that several of his major organs have been affected, including his lungs, heart, liver, and gallbladder.
In addition to this, Christiaan is currently battling a severe infection, and his medical team is treating it as aggressively and as quickly as possible.
Despite everything that this little warrior has endured, Christiaan is stable for now and continues to fight with incredible strength and courage every single day.
